Mandy's Mission & Vision

My mission is to inspire holistic well-being and inner connection by integrating the wisdom of yoga, energy work, sound, and creativity. Drawing from my degree in Contemplative Psychology of Health and Healing from the Naropa Institute and a master's in Yoga Studies and Mindful Movement from Prescott College, and guided by esteemed teachers such as Guru Baba Hari Dass, Shiva Rea, Bhavani Maki, and Maria Garre, I blend Prana Flow, Hatha, Restorative, Lunar, and Solar practices with the healing arts of Reiki, Ayurveda, and the rhythms of nature. Through movement, mindfulness, and artistic expression, I strive to guide others toward a deeper connection with their true selves and the vibrant energy of life.

I envision a world where wellness feels natural and accessible, where people honor their rhythms and embrace their inner strength and vitality. Together, we can create space for healing, growth, and connection.

About Mandy

Mandy is a yoga guide, artist, photographer, writer, Master Gardener, and traveler who has embraced an off-grid lifestyle in Alaska since 2000. As a mother, wife, and lifelong student, she weaves her diverse passions and skills into a holistic approach to inspire others on their paths of self-discovery, wellness, and creative expression. With yoga as a cornerstone of her life since the age of 8, Mandy has been sharing her practice through teaching since 1998, creating a space for transformation and connection through movement, breath, and mindfulness.

A Holistic Approach to Yoga

Mandy’s yoga practice is deeply influenced by her connection to nature and the rhythm of the seasons. She weaves her background in healing arts into her teaching, creating a sacred space for participants to tune in, move with awareness, and uncover the gems of the body, mind, and heart through movement and breath. Her classes are welcoming to all levels, encouraging participants to honor their unique needs and leave feeling centered, aligned, and joyful.

Creative Expressions

Mandy’s artistic pursuits complement her work in yoga and wellness. As an artist, photographer, and writer, she captures the beauty of Alaska’s natural landscape. In 2019, she self-published her first book, Grow Where You’re Planted, blending poetry, photography, and reflections on yoga through the Alaskan seasons. Living in Harmony with Nature

Since 2000, Mandy has been living off the grid in Haines, Alaska, in a timber frame home she and her husband built together. As a Master Gardener, she believes in the healing and connective power of movement, water, flowers, and the natural world to inspire and nurture relationships.

Through the lens, I capture the profound beauty of the natural world that inspires and heals. My photography focuses on the vibrant essence of flowers, landscapes, and serene moments in nature, reflecting the harmony and connection I seek to cultivate in my wellness practices.

Although I am not currently selling my photography, I share it as a visual expression of my journey and a source of inspiration for others.

This 108-page, full-color book blends poetry, photography, and yoga insights to celebrate the seasons and inspire mindful living. A decade in the making, Mandy invites readers to embrace nature’s rhythms and live their yoga daily.
